(Uma Lição de Amor)

Sam Dawson é um pai com deficiência intelectual que toma conta de sua filha Lucy com a ajuda de um grupo de amigos. Quando a menina faz sete anos e começa a ultrapassar seu pai intelectualmente, a situação chama a atenção de uma assistente social que quer que Lucy seja colocada em um orfanato.
