BLACK FRANCIS (FRANK BLACK)
Black Francis (Charles Thompson IV, nascido em 6 de abril de 1965) é um cantor, compositor e guitarrista americano. Ele é mais conhecido como o frontman da banda de rock alternativo Pixies, com quem se apresenta sob o nome artístico de Black Francis. Após a separação da banda em 1993, ele embarcou em uma carreira solo sob o nome de Frank Black. Depois de lançar dois álbuns com a gravadora 4AD e um com a American Recordings, ele deixou a gravadora e formou uma nova banda, Frank Black and the Catholics. Ele voltou a adotar o nome Black Francis em 2007. Seu estilo vocal tem variado de gritos e uivos como vocalista do Pixies a um estilo mais medido e melódico em sua carreira solo.
