YOKO ONO
Yoko Ono (18 de fevereiro de 1933) é um artista multimídia japonês, cantor, compositor e ativista da paz. Seu trabalho também abrange arte performática, que ela apresenta em inglês e japonês, e cinema.
Ono cresceu em Tóquio e se mudou para Nova York em 1953 com sua família. Ela se envolveu na cena artística do centro de Nova York, que incluía o grupo Fluxus. Ela se tornou conhecida em 1969 quando se casou com o cantor inglês John Lennon dos Beatles, com o casal usando sua lua de mel como palco para protestos públicos contra a Guerra do Vietnã. Ela e Lennon permaneceram casados até que ele foi assassinado em frente ao prédio do casal em dezembro de 1980. Juntos eles tiveram um filho, Sean Lennon, que mais tarde também se tornou músico.
