THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN

The Dillinger Escape Plan foi uma banda americana de mathcore. A banda foi formada em 1997 em Morris Plains, New Jersey pelo guitarrista Ben Weinman, o baixista Adam Doll, o vocalista Dimitri Minakakis e o baterista Chris Pennie. O uso da banda de compassos estranhos, polirritmias e padrões de bateria não convencionais tornou-se um elemento básico de seu som, embora os álbuns posteriores tenham incorporado mais melodia e influências de vários gêneros. A formação da banda mudou várias vezes ao longo de sua existência; quando o grupo se dissolveu, Weinman era o único membro fundador remanescente. A última formação sobrevivente também incluiu os membros de longa data Liam Wilson no baixo, Greg Puciato como vocalista principal e Billy Rymer na bateria, ao lado do então estreante Kevin Antreassian como guitarrista base.
