Uma viagem sonora pela estrada da memória … de volta aos bons velhos tempos, quando o Rock & Roll realmente representava algo e você podia conseguir uma groupie para lhe fazer a cabeça de Cleveland até a divisa do estado de Nova Jersey. Nenhuma despesa foi poupada para esta gravação. Reunimos 35 bandas, de 6 países, em 4 continentes para revisitar as músicas que provavelmente estavam tocando no rádio do seu carro quando você transou (ou alguns de vocês foram concebidos). Desde a primeira explosão de guitarra na versão de Five Horse Johnson de “Never in my life” de Mountain até a última nota ardente de Gideon Smith em “The Pusher” de Steppenwolf, “Sucking the 70’s” é uma montanha-russa pelos clássicos que definiram um década. De nota especial são a estreia solo de Scott Reeder (Kyuss, Unida), Broadsword apresentando o primeiro material lançado de J. Yuenger desde que deixou o White Zombie, e a reinvenção fumegante de Clutch de “Cross Eyed Mary” de Jethro Tull, bem como o esforço final gravado do Spirit Caravan. ” De baladas a bong hit’s, esta coleção tem de tudo… exceto Stairway.
